FERG - Threaded hardened steels

✱ The evolution of materials and manufacturing systems makes it easier to use hardened materials that have been treated at source and are commonly used in the sector of mold and matrix manufacturers or for specific jobs that require a high resistance to wear and abrasion.

✱ More and more the subsequent thermal treatment of the pieces has been replaced by the use of bonded and treated materials. This forces machining, milling, drilling and threading very hard materials with the guarantee that the pieces, molds or dies will not suffer subsequent deformations since they do not have to be heat treated.

✱ On the other hand, special alloy materials have also appeared on the market, which due to their composition and presentation have a very high hardness and resistance to wear. These materials have been designed to give solutions to parts or products subjected to high wear, some examples can be the range HARDOX, WELDOX, ...

✱ A first and important group of these materials is formed by steels that have been reduced in origin and They are supplied with resistors that can vary between 1,000 -: - 1,300 N / mm.

✱ The second group would be the processes of threading or reworking of heat treated steels and in which the hardness can vary between 40 -: - 55 Hrc and in other cases 53 -: - 63 Hrc.

✱Then we would also have the group of materials with high resistance to wear, in which their hardness varies according to the type to which they correspond, but which have as a common characteristic a high hardness and a specific alloy that makes the wear difficult and consequently also its machining .

✱ For the threading of hardened steels, FERG has developed a wide range of cores that cover the current needs of the market.

✱ Male group VG: For the threading of treated steels and refractory steels with a tensile strength of 1000 N / mm. References of games for the threading by hand: T-108, A-108 References of males machine for blind holes: 182A, T-182A, A-182A. References of machine males for through holes: 184A, T-184A, A-184A.

✱ Male HR group : For the threading of treated steels and refractory steels with a very high tensile strength of 1,000 -: - 1,300 N / mm. Reference of games for the threaded by hand: A-648 References of males machine for blind holes: 642A, A-642A. References of machine males for through holes: 641A, A-641A. References of machine taps for tapping conical holes, NPT, RC: A-645

✱ Male group HR +: For threading of steels treated with hardnesses of 40 -: - 55 Hrc and steels of 53 -: - 63 Hrc. References of fast steel powder metallurgical cores for hand or machine threading, 40 -: - 55 Hrc: A-655A References of micrograin tungsten carbide cores for hand or machine threading, 53 -: - 63 Hrc: A-755A

✱These different tool ranges are used in a wide range of manufacturing sectors with applications such as: Die-cutting and stamping molds , Aluminum injection molds, Plastic molds, Wear plates in loading and lifting elements, Industrial vehicle tanks, .....

✱ The range that FERG has as standard design covers the wide range of materials and hardness, but we also make applications, adaptations or special executions that allow us to adapt our tools to the requirements and changing market needs.
